The Brashear Association's Holiday Open House

The Brashear Association held their annual holiday open house on Thursday, December 8, 2016.  We welcomed G-Tech, Big Brothers Big Sisters Pittsburgh, and our board members.

Big Brothers Big Sisters hosted a holiday coloring activity coupled with one of their signature "minute-to-win-it" games!  G-Tech displayed photo boards of the construction of our green PLAYce and set out a bowl with pencils, stickers, candy and more.  Brashear Kids were more than happy to snag these goodies!

Staff here at ALEC had a snowflake making table in conjunction with "How the Grinch Stole Christmas".

Pittsburgh police Zone 3 officers here in Allentown attended the open house with their generous donation of toys for the annual Brashear Association toy drive.  Keliyah, Cayden, and Ca'mya join in!

Overall, it was great fun and a chance for staff to continue building connections with our partners and families.

Our guests enjoyed cookies, popcorn, apple cider, and one of Brashear Kids favorite snacks- Ms. Maggie's brussel sprouts!  See recipe below:

We hope you enjoyed our holiday open house synopsis!  Stay tuned for more winter adventures.
