4th & 5th Graders Visit Carnegie's Pop-Up Library in Allentown

At the end of March we had an opportunity for our older students to visit the CLP pop-up in Allentown on a Monday afternoon. Officer Christine Luffey from the Zone 3 police station came in to speak with the kids about animal abuse (which also goes along with our awesome service project for this spring, stay tuned for details!) and other special police duties. To wrap everything up, each student was given a brand new book of their choice and a toy brought in by Officer Luffey's 3rd grade daughter. The kids had a great time, and really enjoyed asking questions.

The CLP pop-up is an initiative to bring libraries to areas that don't have access to the benefits of library services. The Allentown pop-up library will be in Allentown through February 2014. Check out the visit that our 2nd & 3rd graders had this winter here.
