Does your child love learning about the night sky? SkyWatch is a program at the Carnegie Science Center that gives you the chance to cozy up under the stars. This event is held every Friday & Saturday through November 1st, as long as the skies are clear, at the Henry Buhl, Jr. Observatory. The cost is only $2 per person or free with the purchase of a laser show or Omnimax ticket.

If you grew up in Pittsburgh, chances are you have taken a ride down Mount Washington on the Duquesne Incline. With the seasons changing and the tree’s transforming to beautiful warm colors, this is the perfect time of year to either make a trip down memory lane or create a new memory with family. The fares for this adventure are $2.50 each way or $5.00 round trip for adults (ages 12-64), $1.25 each way or $2.50 round trip for children (ages 6-11), and free for children 5 and under. The incline is open 365 days of the year.

Over at 5050 Liberty Avenue, 15224, in the neighborhood center of Bloomfield is the Bloomfield Saturday Market. The market is held every Saturday through November 1st, rain or shine. They offer locally harvested produce, meat, treats, and prepared meals. Grab a coffee or try some yoga while the kids participate in cooking demonstrations, activities, and health screenings. It’s a great time for families and is free to experience. And don’t miss this year’s Harvest Festival on November 1. There will be a hay maze, crafting, and free mini pumpkins for the kids!
