Watercolor Greeting Card DIY

Day 3 of our 5 Days of DIY

For this project you will need:
white paper (watercolor paper works well)
a candle
paintbrushes
a cup of water
salt (optional)

Cut your paper to whatever size you want your card to be. Fold it in half.
Drip hot candle wax on the front of the card. Kids make sure an adult does this for you.
You can also take the pointy tip of your paintbrush and dip it in the wax and make polka dots across your paper or whatever design you would like. Experiment with it and have fun.

Once the wax is dry, paint with watercolors over the dried wax.
You can also sprinkle salt on the wet paint to make a galaxy-type look.
Another cool idea can be found here.

When paint is dry, chip off the wax and write a little message on your card.

Simple as that!
We are so very glad you are checking out our 5 Days of DIY. Thank you!
