This Friday we will be taking our Brashear Kids and their parents to see The Marriage of Figaro at the Pittsburgh Opera. Our trips to the Opera are a bi-annual event that is made possible by the generous donation of tickets from the opera house.
We are lucky to have Ms. Marilyn Michalka come in a few days prior to the show, and educate the attending group about the show, its origins, and even of the costumes. It's really a great experience as she explains everything so that those who may not be, in this case, native speakers of Italians what's going in a brief yet very informative summary of the show. This really gets our kids, and us, thinking and really excited for the performance.
