This week the Brashear Kids learned about computer coding using the Hour of Code programs!
In lieu of our normal Wednesday/Thursday topics, this week we decided to explore coding using the special block coding programs created for the Hour of Code.
The kids were able to learn about coding with Star Wars, Minecraft, and Frozen.
A few kids were upset at the change in schedule, but after the first day we had several kids begging us to "do the minecraft thing again". Even as we were cleaning up, some kids were asking when we would be able to do it again. It is safe to say that the Hour of Code was a success here at ALEC!
