Summer Camps




SUMMER PROGRAMS

All camps are completely FREE and run Monday through Thursday from 12-4pm with a healthy snack provided daily.

Location: Allentown Learning Engagement Center, 827 E Warrington Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15210

Venture Outdoors Camp

Two-weeks of outdoor learning including hiking, biking and kayaking! Explore Pittsburgh and our natural resources. Wear your sunscreen!

Dates

June 17-20 & June 24-27

Tech Camp with YMCA Creator Space

Get hands on with circuits, motors, coding and more in this two week camp focused on STEM education.

Dates

July 8-11 & July 15-18

Art Camp

Two weeks of art making with short, daily skill building exercises paired with weekly community based projects prepares youth, ages 8-13 for CAPA applications and exposes them to art within and about our community.

Dates

July 22-25 & July 24-Aug 1

Gardening Camp

How does the ALEC garden grow? Learn about our local ecosystem while getting dirty in the ALEC garden beds for this one week camp.

August 5-8

    This is very important to teach something about gardening to your kids because they are the new generation they can be feel a need of doing gardening in future for developing their own food. So the best tool is greenhouses for kids by using this green house the kids will rapidly learn the process of the development of the seeds.
